PreSchool & PrePrimary (Ages 3-4)

Encouraging Discovery and Play

At Armbrae Academy, our early learning program provides a warm, nurturing foundation where our youngest Ospreys begin their educational journey. We cultivate a sense of wonder, exploration and belonging, laying the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning. Through this approach, children develop emergent literacy, expanded vocabulary, and foundational numeracy skills, building a strong framework for lifelong academic achievement.

Signature Program Features & Themes

  • Play-Based Inquiry & Foundational Literacy: Children explore foundational concepts in language, numeracy, and environmental awareness through structured play and guided exploration.

  • Early Specialist Instruction: Starting in Preschool and PrePrimary, students receive specialized instruction in Music, Physical Education, and French, expanding their cognitive boundaries early.

  • Nature-Based Learning: Utilizing our outdoor play spaces and urban nature settings, early learners develop environmental curiosity and gross motor confidence.

Curious + Courageous Learners

Small class sizes foster psychological safety, empowering young children to take creative risks and ask bold questions.

Active + Empathetic Communicators

Group activities and guided play help students practice sharing, listening, and expressing their emotions with kindness.

Inclusive + Compassionate Leaders

Early social-emotional routines encourage empathy, helping children care for one another and their environment.
