Academic Program

At Armbrae Academy, our academic program is designed to inspire intellectual curiosity, foster personal growth, and prepare students to excel in an ever-changing world. Starting in the early grades with specialized instruction in French, Physical Education, and the Arts, our curriculum expands to deliver enriched academic pathways, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, supported by small class sizes and personalized guidance.

Our dynamic approach to learning shifts the focus from static evaluation to conversational, observational assessment, embedding real-time feedback and reflection into every unit. By incorporating student choice across disciplines and emphasizing real-world application, we empower students to take active ownership of their education.

Armbrae Portrait of a Graduate

Our Portrait of a Graduate outlines the core competencies and dispositions that define an Armbrae education. These five pillars are intentionally mapped across our academic and co-curricular programs to ensure our students graduate as well-rounded, resilient individuals.

Active and Empathetic Communicators: Students master real-world adaptability and active listening through ongoing collaborative dialogue and signature public speaking initiatives such as the Amazing Shake.

Critical and Creative Thinkers: Through rigorous academics, rich artistic exploration, and student-driven inquiry, learners develop the confidence to analyze complex problems and express innovative ideas.

Engaged and Ethical Citizens: Integrated Service Learning requirements and community connections cultivate a deep sense of social responsibility, integrity, and global awareness.

Curious and Courageous Learners: Supported by strong advisor and teacher relationships, students are empowered to embrace challenges, take intellectual risks, and pursue lifelong learning with passion and resilience.

Inclusive and Compassionate Leaders: Grounded in our motto, Be Kind | Work Hard, students build leadership capacity through our foundational Leadership 9 course, student government, mentorship, and community service.
